Qatar national vision 2030 seeks to transfer Qatar to a developed country able to achieve the sustainable development and ensure the decent life for its citizens, generation after generation in a society that enhances the values of the justice and equity. In the framework of achieving this vision, Qatar made recent reforms in the labor market.
Because of its importance, it has been included in the national development strategies. In this framework, in the interest of the state of Qatar to protect the rights of workers and ensure that they receive their financial dues, support the wages protection system that established to tighten control on the worker wages who are subject to the work law and to complement package of complementary legislation and laws for this system. The law no 17 for the year was issued that established the fund of support and insurance of the workers. since it was established, paid the workers' dues that were decided by the labor dispute settlement committees.
In coordination with these committees, Fund is developing mechanisms to expedite dismissal and disbursement procedures in order to avoid the effects of the slowdown in previously established procedures, which affect workers' ability to fulfil their obligations to their families or to others. The Fund's services benefit both private and domestic workers.
We therefore have the honour to issue the attached annual report prepared by the Fund, which contains the results of the work and efforts undertaken through the Fund's task force during the previous year, as we always aspire to achieve further achievements in order to achieve the objectives of the Fund's establishment.
